My Belly Fat Is There Even After Exercise, What Can I Do?
Q. My belly fat is there even after exercise, proper eating, trying to visualize my self trim and fit. What am I missing? From Nan
A. This is a great question. The information you gave me is not complete. Many women will say that they eat healthy and exercise and nothing is happening.
Is this you?
What you are failing to tell me is how long have you been stuck?
I want to start off with the most important aspect that very rarely gets addressed in the fitness industry...and this is your emotional state.
You may be wondering what does this have to do with belly fat, and my answer is EVERYTHING! Your emotions do control whether you release the belly fat or keep it.
Ask yourself these questions right now:
How do you feel about your life in all 7 areas (physical, mindset, spiritual, career, financial, social, & relationship) ?
The answer to this question will leave clues as to some MAJOR emotional issues that you are experiencing. Recent scientific evidence shows that our cells are affected by our thoughts and feelings.
Your emotions will elicit chemicals in your body that are directly related to the fat burning process and when you are stressed out in any area of your life your body will usually respond by holding on to the fat.
I have experienced this myself first hand, and I am actually writing a book about it! No matter how much I exercised or dieted NOTHING happened..until I learned how to release these toxic emotions.
Chances are you will not find this information on most fitness sites because they want to give you a quick band aid solution to your problem. When you learn how to master your emotions not only will you be able to release the belly fat but you will find major shifts happening within yourself that are quite profound!
Additionally, visualizing in and of itself DOES NOT work! (
(( read that again!!! ))
The reason for this all goes back to your emotional state and attachment to wanting your body to desperately change. Once you can let go of that emotion you come from the place of ALLOWING it to change.
So many women will frantically write me that aren't the size they want to be then they won't be happy. If you doing this to yourself, you are setting yourself up for SABOTAGE.
Learn to be patient and deal with your emotions first!
The second part of answering this question I will address from a diet and training perspective. You need to know exactly what you are eating (total amount of calories and the breakdown).
Additionally, looking at your workout routine and asking yourself these questions:
Am I working out with intensity?
Am I changing my routine around?
Am I lifting heavy enough?
Am I doing cardio that is fat burning?
Once you have made adjustments to your program both inside and out you will see the results!
Have a great week!
